Farm Stay Ezato (Hachinosu)
A quiet inn in a rural Japanese village surrounded by beautiful countryside scenery. Accommodation is limited to one group per day, so your party will be the only guests staying at one time.
Prepare meals together that use home grown rice, seasonal vegetables, and no artificial seasonings.
You can also experience harvesting vegetables, and receive the vegetables you harvest as souvenirs (please note that harvesting may not be possible depending on the season).
You can also experience making fermented seasonings such as salt koji which is commonly used in miso, sake, etc.
There is also a long-term stay plan where you can really experience the full process of making fermented foods.
We can also accommodate vegan and gluten-free diets upon request.

- Take the JR Utsunomiya Line to Nishinasuno Station. From Nishinasuno Station, board the Kanto Bus bound for Batoshako then get off at the Hiruta Iriguchi stop and it will be a 20 minute walk from the bus stop.

Lunch: Rice cooking experience in Hagama
[2 nights and 6 meals] Rice `Koji` Making Experience Plan 25,000 yen/1 person
You can experience making "rice koji", which is the basis of Japanese fermented foods.
You can take the finished rice koji home as a souvenir.
Experience making fermented foods (salt koji, soy sauce koji) using rice koji.
[Features] Detailed explanations discussing "What is fermentation?" and "What is rice koji?"
[5 nights and 15 meals] Fermentation Immersion Plan *November to February only* 60,000 yen/1 person
You can experience making rice koji, miso, soy sauce, etc.
You can also experience making rare fermented foods such as tempeh.
[Features] Learn about various types of fermented foods. You will be able to try your hand at making them, sampling, then at the end take them home as souvenirs.
