Hotel MOKUREN

Hotel MOKUREN is a traditional Japanese house renovated into a hotel in Otawara City, Tochigi Prefecture.
While taking in the Japanese atmosphere, enjoy agricultural experiences in the fields and storehouses of the wide open space as well as sightseeing in Nasunogahara.

Iwaki Farm Iwaki-san

This hotel is a renovated Japanese traditional house. A rural landscape surrounds the hotel. While taking in the Japanese atmosphere, enjoy agricultural experiences in the fields and storehouses of the wide open space as well as sightseeing in Nasunogahara. Meals are not included, but there is a kitchen so you can cook meals using the produce you have harvested. There is a stove in the storehouse, where you can cook rice and have a barbecue. There are also restaurants and eateries nearby.
There is a shower room. You can also use the hot springs nearby.
You can also rent bicycles.

  • Tohoku Expressway: Approximately 30 minutes (approximately 11km) from Nishinasuno-Shiobara IC (Parking available at the hotel)
  • ◆For those using the JR Tohoku Shinkansen
    Get off at Nasushiobara Station and take a taxi from the station to the hotel for approximately 30 minutes (about 11km)
    *Please note that some Shinkansen trains do not stop at NasuShiobara Station.
    ◆For those using the JR Utsunomiya Line
    Get off at Nishinasuno Station and take a taxi from the station to the hotel for approximately 15 minutes (about 6 km)

A simple breakfast using produce from Iwaki Farm.

Hot spring transport after dinner (until 11pm) +2,000 yen/1 round trip transport (up to 6 people within 10km)

Pick up/Drop off is offered to nearby onsens or Japanese izakaya restaurants.

Shopping Service *Staff will shop on guests' behalf. (until 11pm) +2,000 yen (per 10,000 yen purchase)

We will purchase items at the local supermarket, Super Tairaya, according to guests' requests.
